𝒬 53. Which is the third commandment?

𝒜. The third commandment is, Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.1

  1. Exodus 20:7

    “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

    Deuteronomy 5:11

    “‘You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. (ESV)
