Confession of Faith

Chapter 19: Of the Law of God

Neither are the forementioned uses of the law contrary to the grace of the gospel, but do sweetly comply with it;1 the Spirit of Christ subduing and enabling the will of man to do that freely, and cheerfully, which the will of God, revealed in the law, requireth to be done.2

  1. Galatians 3:21

    Hebrews 8:10

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel

I will put my laws into their minds,
and write them on their hearts,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.

    Jeremiah 31:33

But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (ESV)
